During the Second World War, the city of Leningrad endured a siege that lasted 900 days. Millions perished from starvation, artillery fire and shelling, and harsh wintry conditions. This project was envisioned as a collection of small accordion books, each describing a different aspect of the siege. Pictured here are the first two—a general time line of relevant events related to the Second World War and a representation of the food rations at various points during the siege for workers and dependents trapped in Leningrad.
